So heres whats up with me this week. We were part of this weird little trial thingy and they had us go on a bus to this place that was only like 5 minutes away and we watched a conference talk in this room that was inside a wierd bubble building thingy. i think they were trying out new rooms or something so they could make the mtc better or something im not sure but it was a super good talk thats for sure! 🙂

Part two, we were supposed to get our travel plans this last friday but we didn’t… but we heard today that we are going to be getting our reassingnments on thursday this week so ill let you know where im going state side before my visa comes! to be honest im a little disapointed that im not going straight to taiwan but its all good i know that wherever i end up going ill learn a lot and ill just serve them the best i can!

Other than that i really don’t think anything note worthy happened… i learned more chinese and my testimony grows daily. ive grown to love everyone that is in my district and itll be hard to move on but at the same time im ready to go out and help out the best i can 🙂 till next week!!

Hey everyone!

Sorry i missed out last week! its crazy hard to get all the writing done in the time that i have to do it in but its all good! so its definitely a different experience being here in the south! im actually here in Dyersburg Tennessee, so not little rock but im in the little rock arkansas mission so thats crazy its a huge mission! anyway the people here are so different and everyone believes in christianity and all that but they really just have these views that i haven’t ever thought of its giving me a whole new perspective on this gospel! its hard to get through to some of them but really they are all really nice people! Dont get me wrong i really do wish i could go to taiwan and actually speak chinese daily but where im at is great now, its a great place and i love the people ive gotten to meet and teach 🙂 Even though its hard and they all have different views, ive learned here more than ever that the apostasy really did happen and this church has it all, its all we need and i know thats very important 🙂 Love you all and hope everything is going good back home! Keep me updated on whats happening there.

Hey all!

So this week to be completely honest nothing super crazy happened. we finished off all the grammar principles that they teach here so that was exciting i guess! i still can’t seem to form my chinese sentences in the right way so my investigators look at me funny a lot of the time.. haha 🙂

This week we got a new district which was cool! that officially makes us the grandfather district and makes me want to leave and get out of here even more! but its all good i know that i need to learn to form my thoughts better in chinese so bring on the last two weeks or so! My companions are awesome i couldn’t have asked for better companions! we continue to build our teaching abilities and its awesome to finally get into a better flow and learn how to do this whole mission thing 🙂

I hope you are all doing good this week and keep me updated on at least some of the things youre doing! Last thing before i wrap this up, I had one of those “freak the book of Mormon is amazing” moments. it wasn’t anything super crazy but i was just reading and things just made sense and i was like ……wow…. haha anyway its not some super crazy inspiring story but i hope that you all can have some kind of experience that i have had here even though youre not on missions or anything! 🙂

so its been an awesome week! One of my teachers actually got engaged on tuesday and that was really cool! The MTC is still really great but i am so ready to get out of here because its ju st the same things over and over again but its still a fun time so thats good! i met this girl this week too who is actually grandma miners granddaughter [Caitlin Carlisle, Ed and Tiffany’s daughter] it was super crazy! she recognized me from the pictures that grandpa has in their basement of all the missionary family members they have out! ive had an awesome day and week! so the two pictures with me and those other sisters, the one right next to me in the pink is grandmas granddaughter! the rest is just random pictures throughout the week 🙂 love you all!

Alright so this week sense there hasn’t been much success with the emails getting through in the past, or something like that, im going to kind of give an overview of things that have happened here.

So the first few days seemed to go on forever sense i was learning all these new things and had to adjust to so much! but to be honest this past month has gone by so crazy fast its wierd. the days are long but the weeks are short it seems like. so christmas in the mtc was such a great experience and im glad i got to be here for it. they had some great speakers come and they had movies and a talent show that was funny and great. other than that every day is pretty much the same thing except there have been some amazing speakers from the general authorities and some little things here and there. every speaker that has come has been just awesome.

A couple of the things that ive learned while here just in the past month:

1. There isn’t much you can do for yourself or your investigators to help them grow closer to christ unless you are teaching and testifying with the spirit. it just doesn’t seem to work out any other way.
2. People are amazing, we all have had our different trials and experiences that allow us to teach to specific needs of others.
3. This church is absolutely true without a doubt, everything that has gone on this past month has been proof of that. every missionary ive seen come and go (mostly because im here for an eternity…. 😉 ) has such a strong testimony and has had this gospel change their life in one way or another and im so greatful for that.

I hope all is well for you at home and at least some of you write me back! its hard to write everyone back but i promise i will get you all eventually! love you all and the amazing examples you are to me!

Hey Everyone!

sorry just trying to figure out this whole group email thing but thats all good! so this week i was made district leader and pretty much that doesn’t mean a whole lot in the mtc but still its really cool and fun to actually! so basically the mission is the greatest thing. they feed us like no ones buisiness and the spirit you feel here is amazing!! i really don’t know what else to put on here to be honest. every day is the same things here in the MTC. the older district is leaving today which is really sad they have become pretty much like a family while ive been here but i still have my district which is just as tight. you grow to love the people you are called to serve with and for and i can’t imagine how its going to get even better in the mission field! oh speaking of, i might be getting a transfer in states for a couple weeks to months because the visas in taiwan are hard to get because they changed their forms for them or something like that which is kinda dumb but its all good either way. ill go where ever im needed or called, cuz thats what missionaries do 🙂 so yeah thats this past couple weeks in a nutshell. im out of time but ill try and write more next time!

Yeah I’m having an awesome time for sure and I’m loving it! i hope you guys have a good first day and that you enjoy it! I’m sure it will be good and you will continue to have good experiences even at the new school. The language is coming faster than i thought it would, d, not close to fluent but still I’m confident that it’ll only get better from here. i passed what i learned in school in the first day here they teach so fast and you learn so fast too. i love it.  We got to go to the temple for the first time today since we’ve gotten here since it’s been closed every other week because of holiday.  I’m excited for this opportunity and to see how ill grow! I love you all and I’ll keep you updated!

Hey all!

so first weekish or so was great! i hope you all got set up on this group thing…. haha anyway the mission so far is the MTC is awesome im loving it. my companions are Elder sy from the phillipians and Elder Brandly for utah! theyre great! the spirit here is great and the people are too. there really is no place like this and no way to describe how it feels to be training to do gods work. the language…. haha its crazy! i love it and ill get it eventually but its so crazy hard! so the devotionals here are fantastic and filled with so much great information that i can use personally and for my mu dao you (thats a little chinese that i  know means investigators, but i cant do tones so it might mean something else depending on the tones 🙂 ) i wish i could just give you all a glimps of what i have learned and share it with you. so i finally feel settled in here and love it. it is a very different schedule then the one i have been following before! haha so yeah thats me so far! my P-day is on monday and its a great time to get things done like study…. haha more studying than ive done in my entire life 🙂 so i also got my mailing address too if any of you want that for any reason! anyway hope you all are doing well sense last week when i saw you… :p haha love you all!
